International Yacht Training (IYT) offers training for both professional and recreational yachtsmen and women. IYT Yachtmaster certificates are internationally recognised by 25 governments worldwide

Our certification includes the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). All courses are MCA approved and meet STCW95 standards where applicable. The company currently has 32 partnership schools in 19 countries. IYT is a professional organisation owned and operated by professional yachtsmen for professional yachtsmen.

Crew Placement

IYT, offers students the opportunity to find placement on the world’s most prestigious yachts, training captains, first mates, bosuns, deckhands, and steward/esses. Superyacht Crew Academy also links with other worldwide crew agencies in Europe, Canada and the USA to assist their students with crew placement. 95 percent of IYT graduates find crew positions within a few weeks.

Superyacht Crew Academy is Club Sail’s professional training division and IYT’s leading Australian partnership school, located at Pittwater on Sydney’s northern beaches, approximately 45 minutes north of the CBD. Superyacht Crew Academy’s training facility and marina offers a comfortable, relaxed environment within a 10 minute walk to the surf beaches, hotels, restaurants and shopping areas.

IYT Courses & MCA compliance

The majority of the world’s super yachts are flagged under the red ensign and therefore fall under the jurisdiction of the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). To work on these vessels one must obtain MCA Certification. The Superyacht Crew Academy is Australia’s leading fully approved IYT/MCA licenced training facility to assist you with the qualifications and requirements.

IYT Master of Yachts 200 tons Training Certificates are the most prestigious and sought after internationally recognised yachtmaster certificates in the world. The IYT certificates are recognised by 25 governments including 16 Red Ensign countries, Ireland, New Zealand, Marshall Islands, Western Australia, Luxembourg, Bahamas. Lebanon. No other yachtmaster certificate in the world has such global acceptance.
